SM EXTENDS MORE HELP TO SAGAY FLASH FLOOD VICTIMS

SM City Bacolod Admin personnel led  by Mall Manager George Jardiolin turned over the 2^nd batch of donations for Sagay City thru DSWD officer Janice Baculao on January 17,2012. 

Mall Manager George Jardiolin, Asst. Mall Manager Julia Javellana, HR Manager Carlynna Tionko, HR Supervisor Jessy Makiling & Operations Assistant Norman Lim along with SM Department Store head Willie Gamboa & Our Home Store Manager Meneriza Gamboa turned over more items toSagay City DSWD   Social Welfare Officer II Janice Cajulao & DWSD Day Care Officer Marjorita Suico

In cooperation with the City Government of Sagay, SM Foundation, SM City Bacolod and SM Supermarket, an initial distribution and turnover of  relief goods and grocery packs to 81 DSWD-identified families in Barangays Fabrica & Paraiso was done on December 27.

In their desire to help fellow Negrenses in need,  SM Department Store & Our Home wanted to give more.  Employees of SM Department Store decided to share their extras and Our Home donated 3 imported sofa’s, 1 leather 2-seater recliner and 1 sofa bed.

According to DSWD Social Welfare Officer II  Janice Cajulao, Sagay DSWD is tentatively planning on raffling off the items from Our Home among the 81 homeless families. They have also prepared several relief packs to be distributed to 1,000+ families with partially damaged houses.  

In behalf of Sagay City Mayor Leo Rafael M. Cueva and DSWD Social Welfare Officer Concepcion Javellana, Cajulao thanked SM Foundation, SM Supermarket, SM Department Store & Our Home for the assistance it extended to the Sagaynons.  She expressed elation and said Sagay City is thankful to SM and what they received is way beyond their expectations.
