Make-A-Child HAPPY

SM Foundation, Inc. in cooperation with Toy Kingdom and the Department of Social Welfare and Development launched the Make-A-Child Happy campaign’s Share-A-Toy booth at the Northwing of SM City Bacolod.

In celebration of the Christmas Season, this annual project encourages shoppers to donate old and new toys to be given away to sick and indigent children in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental. Make-A-Child Happy continues to serve government hospitals, indigenous communities, selected community day care centers and other charitable institutions.

SM Foundation is the socio civic arm of the SM Group of Companies through which it helps the less fortunate in the communities it serves. These are areas within the vicinity of SM Supermalls and SM Department Stores that need assistance.

The Foundation has four areas of advocacy: education through scholarship programs and donations to schoolhouses; mall-based outreach programs; health oriented projects like medical missions, a mobile clinic, and hospital activity centers and religious community projects.

SM Founder and Chairman Henry Sy, Sr. established SM Foundation to help the less privileged members of our society. The assistance initially consisted of donations to charitable institutions, but has since included scholarship programs and other community projects.
