The Asenso ka Pinoy Foundation in cooperation with SM City Bacolod and the PLDT KaAsenso is set to conduct the third installment of the Asenso Forum 2011: Entrepreneurship Conference Series on October 14, 2011, 1:00PM-6:00PM at the Cinema One of SM City Bacolod.

The Visayas Entrepreneurship Conference follows the successful staging of the past two caravans in Metro Manila and Luzon which gathered more than one thousand participants respectively last March 8  and June 28, 2011. The profile of participants included top business students, entrepreneurs, representatives from the Government and Non-Government Organizations, professionals and entrepreneurship advocates.

The Asenso Forum 2011 is conducted for FREE to all aspiring and existing entrepreneurs who want to learn more about current trends and developments in entrepreneurship through a back to back forums on related topics.

For the Bacolod caravan, Asenso Pinoy has invited an interesting mix of speakers from Manila and panelists from Negros Occidental. Ms. Amanda Burrell, the Country Director of the British Council Philippines, will be talking about the recently-adopted model among enterprises i.e. Social Entrepreneurship. To reaffirm the right entrepreneurial mindset, Mr. Jorge Wieneke will be talking about realignment of values systems to become an effective entrepreneur. He is currently the Ambassador of the PLDT KaAsenso Sulong Minigosyo Program.

After the first two forums, the University of St. La Salle Campus Jammers will heighten the excitement of the crowd through a dance intermission. Ms. Marlee Jayme, the Golden Voice of 2011 Champion, will also perform her winning reportoire.

The conference continues with a forum to be graced by Provincial Director Rebecca Rascon of the  Department of Trade and Industry to tackle about the role of the agency in promoting an entrepreneurial climate in the province. Entrepreneurs Mark Gomez of Munsterific Convenience Store and BJ Tanpinco Uy of Planta Hotel and Residences will also shed some inspiration to the audience and affirm that one can pursue his own enterprise at a young age and be successful with it.

Mr. Francis Cardona, the foundation’s President, aligns the on-going conference series to the vision of the Filipino masses who are naturally enterprising people through free conferences. He will be moderating two of the forum discussions.  

The Bacolod Caravan is co-presented by the SM City Bacolod and PLDT KaAsenso. Its learning partners include the British Council Philippines, World Vision, Junior Achievement of the Philippines Inc, AIESEC in the Philippines, World Fair Trade Organization and the University of St. La Salle College of Business and Accountancy. The Asenso Forum 2011 will stage the Mindanao Caravan in The Land of Promise – Davao City on November 25, 2011  which will cap off this year’s series of conferences.
