The provincial search for aspiring candidates to Miss World Philippines Beauty Pageant 2011 will be held on July 10, 2011 at the Northwing Event Centre of SM City Bacolod. Contestant Entry Form is available online at the official website of Miss World Philippines.
This year’s Miss World Philippines (MWP) contest is organized by CQ Global Quest Inc. with Cory Quirino as chairman and CEO. MWP is presented by CQGQ and SM Development Corp. together with Banco de Oro, Petron, Smart, Philippine Airlines, and The City of Puerto Princesa, with SM Supermalls as official search partner.
The contestant must complete the MWP official contestant entry form and attend an interview which shall be held on the day of the application or at any time to be determined by the organizer. A copy of the contestant’s passport or NSO Certified Birth Certificate must be attached to the official contestant entry form. Original documents must be presented for verification. The organizer reserves the right to reject any application that fails to satisfy the said requirements.
The contest is open to all single female citizens of the Philippines who shall be not less than 17 years of age or not more than 24 years and 364 days of age on the date of the Miss World Philippines final in the relevant year. The minimum height requirement is 5 feet 6 inches tall.
The contestant must have never been through any ceremony either valid or invalid, and whether civil or religious or tribal, which is recognized as marriage ceremony in any part of the world and has never given birth to a child.

Cory Quirino, chairman and CEO of CQ Global Quest Inc. (CQGQ) and national director-licensee of Miss World Philippines (MWP) announced that the provincial search yielded several young first-time beauty pageant applicants during its kicked off in Naga City in early May. Other searches were held in SM City Cebu where a mini beauty pageant attracted hundreds of mallgoers, SM Mall of Asia, SM City Pampanga in San Fernando City and SM City Davao.
In a press conference last January, Julia Morley, chairman and CEO of the Miss World Organization, made a final presentation of the Miss World license to Quirino in the presence of Miss World 2010 Alexandria Mills and 2nd Princess Emma Wareus. Upon receiving the license, Quirino made her first official dramatic move by offering the biggest prize money in the history of the Philippine pageant industry by having a grand prize of P1 million, plus an SMDC Condo unit.
The Miss World Philippines Slogan is "Beauty in Giving" inspired by the famous Miss World Slogan "Beauty with a Purpose". Taking this corporate social respinsibility to heart, the Philippine pegeant has adopted the Tuloy Streetchildren Foundation, headed by Fr. Rock Evangelista; and Philippine General Medical Foundation, led by Dr. Greg Alvior, as beneficiaries.
The deadline for submission of application form is on July 31. The coronation and pageant night is set for September 18, 2011 at the Philippine International Convention Center.
