SM Foundation Inc., in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development and Caritas Bacolod, encourages SM shoppers and all Negrenses to donate their excess clothes, and other basic commodities and be involved in making other people's lives a little more comfortable. Donors may drop their items in the donation booth from 10am-9pm until February 28, 2011 at the North Main Entrance (between Yellow Cab and Bob’s Café) of SM City Bacolod.

Spare sometime to sort out your excess shoes, housewares and other belongings, and share these with the less fortunate. Your "extras" will go a long way in helping families in the different DSWD centers and other accredited non-government organizations.

SM Foundation is the socio civic arm of the SM Supermalls which helps the indigenous people and calamity-stricken areas it serves.

The Foundation has four areas of advocacy: education through scholarship programs, and donations to schoolhouses, mall-based outreach programs, health oriented projects like medical missions, a mobile clinic, and hospital activity centers and religious community projects.

SM Founder and Chairman Henry Sy, Sr. established SM Foundation to help the less privileged members of the society. The assistance initially consisted of donations to charitable institutions, but has since included scholarship programs and other community projects.

It undertakes projects, many of which are in partnership with government agencies, media, and civic organizations. The Foundation intends to serve more communities as SM builds more malls around the country.
