The SM BacoLaodiat Kiddie Superstar contest which was supposed to be held on January 30, 2011 has been cancelled due to circumstances beyond the mall management’s control.

Meanwhile, to usher in the BacoLaodiat Festival which is a celebration of the Chinese New Year, SM City Bacolod holds the Chinese Minority Costume and BacoLaodiat Photo Exhibit at the mall's East Bridgeway that will run until January 31, 2011. It aims to create public awareness on Chinese Culture and Chinese New Year celebration.

The Trinity Christian School headed by its principal Ms. Esther Jane Uy will hold a Chinese Cultural show entitled “A Taste of China” on January 22, 2011 at 3pm at the Northwing Event Centre of SM City Bacolod. A Wushu and Taichi exhibition will also be held on January 23 at 3pm at the same venue.

The Bacoloadiat Zodiac Lantern Exhibit showcasing the different Chinese Zodiac symbols from February 6-12, 2011 at the mall’s North and South Al Fresco areas. There will also be Chinese FEAST-tival, a showcase of Chinese food, on February 5 at 1pm at the Event Centre.

The festival will culminate with an SM BacoLaodiat Champion’s Night on February 6 at 6pm at the Event Centre of SM City Bacolod.
