Officers and members of the Federation of Senior Citizens Associations of Bacolod City participated in the Seniors' Day at the mall held at the Northwing Event Centre of SM City Bacolod recently.

It was highlighted by a lecture on Urban Vegetable Farming conducted by the Negros Economic Development Foundation (NEDF), SM Foundation's partner in its Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan project. Speakers Mr. Levino Duran, operations manager, and technicians Jake Gasalao and Harry Titong made an actual presentation on how to grow vegetables at home in a limited space.

NEDF and SM Foodcourt's Kamay Kainan did a joint cooking demo of pinakbet, one of Philippine's popular dish of mixed vegetables. Other activities were pampering booths which offered free haircut by Jems Barbers, free eye checkup by Executive Optical and free blood pressure reading and tear test by Anglo Eye Care Center.

Bacolod's favorite pianist and organist Mr. Bagguer Villaluz also treated the senior citizens to an afternoon oldies music where they danced and sang-a-long.

The Seniors' Day at SM City Bacolod which is regularly held every second Tuesday of the month is open to all Senior Citizens. For more inquiries, contact the Public Relations Officer at Tel. Nos. 468-0168.
