Officers of the Federation of Senior Citizens Association in Bacolod (FSCAB) headed by its president Councilor Catalino Alisbo attended the kickoff of the Seniors' Day at the Mall held at the Northwing Event Centre of SM City Bacolod, recently.
The Seniors' Day at the Mall, spearheaded by the SM Committee on Senior Citizens Affairs (CoSCA), featured the Wellness Health Care Lectures on How to Detect Stroke & Other Illnesses, and Taking Care of Your Eyesight conducted by Drs. Babylin B. Drilon of the Bacolod City Health Office and Melissa B. Anglo of Anglo Eye Care Center, respectively.
As part of CoSCA's mission to provide special care and treatment to the elders, SM also organized pampering booths that offerred free services to the senior citizens such haircut by David's Salon, BP taking by Anglo Eye Care Center and SM Clinic, eye check up and consultation by Executive Optical and Eye Crafter.
Alisbo commended and thanked SM for initiatives that focus on the welfare of the elderly. As the president of FSCAB, Alisbo expressed the federation's commitment to support the Seniors' Day at the Mall and other senior citizen-related programs of SM.
The Seniors' Day at the Mall culminated with Bacolod's organist and pianist Bagguer Villaluz rendition of music of yesteryears where senior citizens danced and sang along.
SM City Bacolod is inviting all senior citizens to the Seniors' Day at the Mall which will be held regularly in all SM malls every second Tuesday of the month until December 2010.
