The Bacolod City Council for the Welfare of Disabled Persons held the opening of the celebration of the 32nd National Disability Prevention & Rehabilitation (NDPR) Week at 10AM at the Northwing Event Centre of SM City Bacolod yesterday. 

Themed “32nd NDPR Week: Sa Istrukturang Accessible, Lahat ay Able,” the kickoff was highlighted by the Angel Walk, a walkthrough of the mall to show how friendly SM City Bacolod is to persons with disabilities (PWDs). It was participated by SPED Elementary and High Schools, SPED Jack & Jill School, Association of Disabled Persons-Bacolod and Negros, Deaf & Blind (DAB), Vision, Volunteers for the Rehabilitation of Handicapped and Disabled (VRHD), Neg. Occ. Rehabilitation Foundation Inc. (NORFI), and the Christian Foundation for Disabled Persons. 


Meanwhile, the NDPR exhibit that also opened on the same day will run until Friday. There will be a cultural foundation, a showcase of talents and skills of disabled persons, on July 23, 2010 at the mall's Event Centre.
