The International Committee of the Red Cross will hold the “Our World At War” photo exhibit from June 26-27 at the Northwing Event Centre of SM City Bacolod.

The photo collection has been launched by the ICRC in New York and Geneva last year as part of the “our World-Your Move” global campaign to call attention to the conflicts raging all over the world. The ICRC has teamed up with five top war photographers – James Nachtwey, Ron Haviv, Chris Morris, Franco Pagetti and Antonin Kratochvil – who travelled to eight countries that were either in conflict situation of living through its aftermath.

The mobile collection, which depicts the reality and brutality of armed conflict, will feature five images each from Afghanistan, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Georgia, Lebanon, Liberia, Haiti, and the Philippines.

By offering a unique and first-hand look at what war does to people's lives, the exhibit aims to create awareness on global conflicts, and on the ICRC's work amid situations of violence. Crucial issues such as disease, displacement, food shortages and rising violence will also be highlighted through these stark visuals.

The ICRC is working to protect and assist people affected by armed conflict and other situations of violence. Find our more:
