The Bacolod Cultural Foundation once again successfully spearheaded the Santacruzan Festival, a popular Filipino religious tradition, that capped the celebration of Bacolod and Negros rich heritage at the Northwing Event Centre of SM City Bacolod. 

Officers and members of the Bacolod Cultural Foundation and the sagalas who were dressed in beautiful and elegant gowns along with their escorts clad in Barong Tagalog paraded at the mall. The procession was led by a band and men and women praying and holding lit candles.

The highlight of the event was the offering of flowers to the Blessed Virgin, a ceremony in honor of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. Santacruzan Festival 2010 Chair Dr. Ver Lacson also led a moment of silence to pray for Bacolod Cultural Foundation president Atty. Luz Datu Lacson who died recently. 

Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson, in his inspirational message, commended the Bacolod Cultural Foundation for continuously staging an important legacy such as the Santacruzan which reminds the public of the colorful tradition of the Filipinos.
