SM City Bacolod's commemoration of the 112th Philippine Independence Day kicked off with the opening of Kahilwayan Exhibit of the Arts Association of Bacolod at the mall's East Bridgeway recently.   

The Kahilwayan Exhibit of the Arts Association of Bacolod opens with a ribbon cutting ceremony led by Ms. Leny Eria, SM leasing manager, Ms. Sony Golez, AAB vice-president, Ms. Irene Gaston, University of St. La Salle Museum director, and Ms. Grace Soria, mall brand manager.

The Acadz Choral Arts Guild's Musika: Handog Nang Kabataan Sa Inang Bayan  also highlighted Bacolod City's Poster-Making Contest and Historical Photo Exhibit held at the Northwing Event Centre. Dubbed “Maragtas sang Bacolod”, the exhibit that showcases photos of old Bacolod will run until June 12.

There will also be a Flag Raising Ceremony to be attended by SM mall admin employees, tenants personnel, and security guards on June 12 at 8:30AM  at the Southwing carpark of SM City Bacolod. Part of the activity will be the live performance of Kanlaon Theater Guild.

A Pinoy Food Festival will also be held on the same day from 10AM-9PM at SM Foodcourt where delectable Filipino dishes will be offered. Moreover, the Proud to be Pinoy exhibit is also available at the Southeast Bridgeway Lobby of the mall featuring Pinoy-themed apparels and products of various SM tenants.

Meanwhile, SM  will be venue to the culmination of Bacolod's Civic-Military Independence Day parade on June 12 which will start at 1PM at Lacson Street. This will be joined in by the local government unit departments, non government and private sectors. 

 The Proud to be Pinoy exhibit showcases the best of SM store's Pinoy-themed products.

The 112th Independence Day celebration at the mall will close the curtain with an afternoon entertainment of  the Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod's Kahilwayan, Kabataan, Kultura on June 13 at 4PM at the Event Centre of SM City Bacolod.
