In cooperation with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and the Federation of OFW Negros Occidental, SM City Bacolod will hold the 15th National Migrant Workers Day to be attended by about 500 Overseas Filipino Workers and their families on June 4, 2010 from 12NN – 5PM at the mall's Northwing Event Centre.

Themed "OFWs: Tagumpay sa Hamon ng Panahon, Kaagapay sa Pagsulong", this event will give tribute to the contribution of OFWs to the Philippine society and commemorates the ratification of Republic Act (RA) 8042 or commonly known as the Migrant Workers Act of 1995 - an act to institute the policies of overseas employment and establish a higher standard of protection and promotion of the welfare of migrant workers, their families and overseas Filipinos in distress, and for other purposes.

The celebration of the 15th National Migrant Workers Day will kick off with a grand motorcade around the major streets of Bacolod where OFWs will converge at the SM Event Centre where there will be lectures on Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, and Internet Basics.

The OFWs will also be entertained by live performances of Pinoy Dream Academy's Davey Langit and Bossa Nova Artist Raffi Quijano.
