In celebration of its 50th Golden Anniversary, the Bacolod Boys' Home will hold an exhibit on April 27 – 30, 2010 at the Northwing Event Centre of SM City Bacolod. 

Themed “50 Years and Onward since 1960, giving Hope and Love”, the exhibit will showcase the Bacolod Boy's Home through the years as a social welfare institution founded by the late Fr. Gratian Murray, AFSC. The complex is located at Barangay Granada that houses over 85 children and youth in need of especial attention. For 50 years, the institution has sheltered over 2000 kids, helped 11 priests that are incardinated in the different dioceses and members of religious congregations. 

The Bacolod Boys’ Home continues to help 6 seminarians who are in their philosophical and theological studies. Others are pursuing college degrees at different colleges; and studying vocational training program at Don Bosco-Victorias and government vocational institutions. 

The 50th Golden Anniversary celebration will be highlighted by a concelebrated mass on May 1, 2010 at 10AM at the Bacolod Boys' Home. It will be followed by the “Lunch for a cause” for the benefit of Boys' Home graduates who will pursue college and vocational training studies. Part of the program is the expressions of appreciation and gratitude for the 7 posthumous major benefactors, 36 major benefactors, and 64 minor benefactors of Bacolod Boy’s Home. There will also be “Michel Jackson Experience” Concert featuring the American singer and dancer Kenny Wizz on May 8, 2010 at 7PM at the La Salle Coliseum. 

This is a joint project of the Don Bosco Alumni Batch 86 and the Bacolod Boys’ Home Foundation, Inc. The golden celebration of the Bacolod Boy's Home ushers in a new feature in the running of the complex in the next following years. The ratification by the City Council last August 2009 of the Memorandum of Agreement MOA between the the Local Government of Bacolod and the assisting agencies: University of La Salle Bacolod, Bacolod Boys’ Home Foundation Inc., and the supervising agency: Salesians of Don Bosco – South, has given direction in the administration and program implementation for the welfare of the children.
